Sonja R. Evans, D.M.D., M.S.

Dr. Evans grew up in the Pacific Northwest and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from Boston University, followed by a general practice residency in Bangor, ME.

She began her dental career as the Dental Director at a community health center in Harrington, ME, while also practicing in Ellsworth, ME. During this time, she discovered her passion for endodontics, leading her to pursue advanced specialty training. Dr. Evans earned her Master of Science (M.S.) degree and certificate in endodontics from The Ohio State University. She is excited to bring her expertise to Endodontic Associates, P.A.

Dr. Evans is a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a member of the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association, and Greater Portland Dental Society. She is board-eligible and has successfully completed two of the three required examinations for board certification.

Dr. Evans understands that root canals can feel intimidating, and she is committed to ensuring her patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their treatment. She strives to create a welcoming and reassuring environment, making the experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

Outside of endodontics, Dr. Evans enjoys traveling, hiking, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her family and two dogs.
